Ganbu Country

Welcome to Ganbu Country!

Welcome to Ganbu Country,

An innovative AgTech startup co-founded by Skye Hunter and Tristan Barker. We are here to revolutionize sustainable agriculture and land restoration in Australia.

With a deep passion for environmental conservation and a commitment to creating a positive impact,
We bring together our expertise and vision to drive change.

Skye Hunter, an Australian Aboriginal woman from the Taungurung community of the Kulin Nation, infuses Ganbu Country with her profound understanding of cultural heritage and land management practices.

Tristan Barker, an Ngati Rangi Nui Māori man, an experienced entrepreneur with a background in technology and sustainability, complements the team with his strategic insights and passion for sustainable innovation.

Currently, we are focused on our first pilot project, the development of our Native Regenerative Farm.

By combining traditional Aboriginal land management practices, regenerative agriculture, and cutting-edge technologies, we are restoring and rejuvenating the land, preserving its natural beauty and biodiversity

Our purpose

At Ganbu Country, our purpose is to drive positive change within the Aboriginal community. We are committed to supporting Aboriginal jobseekers by providing them with meaningful employment and skills development opportunities. Through our partnership with Nerdu Badji Education, experts in Aboriginal social procurement, we aim to enhance social impact and economic opportunities.

Collaboration is at the core of our approach. We actively engage with local Aboriginal land and water councils, ensuring that our carbon projects benefit the entire community. By working together, we strive to share resources and economic opportunities equitably, empowering individuals and upholding principles of cultural respect and social equality.

To achieve our goals, we leverage cutting-edge technology and expertise. We seek partnerships with Aboriginal organizations, government agencies, research institutions, environmental organizations, and agricultural experts. These collaborations allow us to access additional resources, knowledge, and insights, enabling us to make a lasting impact in the agricultural and environmental sectors.

Ganbu Country is dedicated to setting new standards in environmental stewardship, economic empowerment, and cultural preservation.

We envision a future where Aboriginal communities thrive, where economic opportunities are shared equitably, and where the land and its people are nurtured for generations to come.

We invite you to join us on this inspiring journey as we cultivate our Native Regenerative Farm, creating a brighter and more sustainable future for Ganbu Country and beyond. Together, we can make a lasting difference for generations to come.
